MIGHTY+ vs CRAFTY+ comes down to a practical choice: on-device control and greater battery capacity, or a smaller device at a lower price. Both use Storz & Bickel’s combination of convection and conduction heating, but their controls, charging options and carrying size differ.

This comparison covers the MIGHTY+ and the USB-C version of the CRAFTY+. Older MIGHTY and CRAFTY models have different specifications.

Quick verdict: which should you choose?

• Choose MIGHTY+ if you want a temperature display, direct adjustment buttons and greater battery capacity, and are comfortable carrying a larger device.
• Choose CRAFTY+ if compact size and a lower purchase price matter more, and you are happy using preset temperatures with optional app customisation.

MIGHTY+ vs CRAFTY+: key differences

Vapour quality: a shared heating approach

Both devices combine heated airflow with heat from the chamber. Both also route vapour through a removable cooling unit before it reaches the mouthpiece.

That shared approach makes controls, size and charging useful deciding factors. It does not establish that the experience is identical, or that one always delivers cooler or better-tasting vapour. Temperature, loading, draw technique and cleanliness all affect the result.

Controls: display and buttons or compact simplicity?

MIGHTY+: adjust temperature directly on the device

The MIGHTY+ displays temperature information and gives you dedicated adjustment buttons. This is useful if you change settings regularly or want to check them without connecting another device.

Its appeal is straightforward access to the controls, rather than extra settings you must learn before using it.

CRAFTY+: presets with optional app customisation

The CRAFTY+ uses one-button operation. Its factory settings provide a base temperature of 180°C, a booster level of 195°C and a super-booster level of 210°C.

You can use those settings without a phone. The Storz & Bickel Web App allows customisation, but you should check its current device and browser compatibility if that feature matters to your purchase.

Our buying advice: choose MIGHTY+ if you want to see and adjust settings directly. Choose CRAFTY+ if you prefer fewer physical controls and are comfortable with presets.

Battery life and charging

The MIGHTY+ has two built-in battery cells, compared with one in the CRAFTY+. Its greater battery capacity is a reason to consider it when you expect repeated sessions between charges.

We do not promise a fixed number of sessions per charge. Runtime changes with temperature, session length, ambient conditions and battery age. Neither model has a user-swappable battery like some removable-18650 vaporizers.

Can you use them while charging?

MIGHTY+: pass-through operation requires the appropriate power supply. Storz & Bickel specifies its USB-C Supercharger with Power Delivery at 15V/3A and 45W. The display briefly shows “dct” when compatible pass-through operation is recognised. Do not assume a basic phone charger provides this feature.

CRAFTY+ USB-C: the manufacturer states that it cannot operate while connected to a power source through the USB-C cable. Plan to charge it between uses.

Check the selected bundle before ordering a charger; a USB-C cable and a high-power wall adapter are different items.

Portability: the CRAFTY+ has a clear size advantage

At approximately 135g, the CRAFTY+ is substantially lighter than the approximately 242g MIGHTY+. Its smaller body is the stronger fit when carrying space is limited.

The MIGHTY+ is easier to accommodate in a bag than a small pocket. If you mainly use your device at home but still want to carry it occasionally, that trade-off may be worthwhile.

Compact size does not mean odour-free use. Choose a carrying solution that protects the device, and let it cool before storing it.

Cleaning, dosing capsules and replacement parts

Both devices need routine cleaning of the chamber screens and cooling components. Follow the cleaning instructions for your exact model, keep liquid out of the electronic body, and allow cleaned parts to dry completely before use.

Dosing capsules can make loading and emptying more convenient, but they do not eliminate cooling-unit maintenance.

• Vaporizer parts and accessories — check compatibility with your exact device before ordering.

Do not assume the MIGHTY+ and CRAFTY+ cooling units are interchangeable simply because both devices use the same brand of dosing capsules.

Warranty: check the registration conditions

Storz & Bickel currently lists two-year coverage for the CRAFTY+. The MIGHTY+ can receive an additional year under the manufacturer’s registration programme, subject to its conditions, including registration within four weeks of purchase.

Keep your purchase receipt and check the official registration information when your device arrives.

Is the MIGHTY+ worth the extra €100?

For direct controls and repeated use between charges, the extra cost may make sense. You get the display, adjustment buttons, greater battery capacity and compatible pass-through charging capability, while accepting a larger device.

For compact carrying and preset-based operation, the CRAFTY+ is the more economical choice. Spending less does not mean giving up the brand’s combined heating approach. The main compromises are battery capacity and on-device temperature information.
