Vaporizer spare parts are not an afterthought. Screens, mouthpieces, seals, glass stems, battery lids and cooling components can wear, clog or break long before the main heater or electronics fail.
Knowing when to clean a part and when to replace it can extend the useful life of a dry herb vaporizer and prevent a small wear item from making the whole device feel “broken”.

Why Vaporizer Spare Parts Matter
Most vaporizers contain small serviceable components in the vapour path. These parts handle heat, condensation, cleaning cycles and repeated assembly.
Keeping the correct spares is especially useful in Malta, where a model-specific screen or mouthpiece may take time to source internationally if it is not available locally.
Screens: Clean or Replace?
Clean a screen if it is structurally sound but coated with residue. Replace it if:
- it is torn or punctured;
- it is warped and no longer sits flat;
- it remains blocked after cleaning;
- the edge no longer seats correctly;
- it has become brittle or deformed.
Current examples include the XMAX V3 Pro Filter Kit, V3 Pro oven mesh and genuine DynaVap stainless-steel CCD screens.
Mouthpieces and Cooling Units
A mouthpiece should be replaced when physical damage or wear remains after cleaning.
Typical reasons include:
- cracks;
- damaged magnetic fittings;
- warped plastic;
- persistent loose fit;
- internal components that are no longer serviceable.
We currently stock the XMAX V3 Pro mouthpiece top and wear-and-tear kits for several Storz & Bickel models.
O-Rings and Seals
O-rings create seals between vapour-path components. They are small, but a damaged seal can cause loose fit, air leaks or incorrect assembly.
Replace an O-ring if it is:
- split;
- flattened;
- stretched;
- hardened;
- missing.
Use the exact size and material specified by the manufacturer rather than substituting a random household O-ring.
Glass Adapters and Stems
Glass components are easy to inspect: cracks, chips and fractures are reasons to replace rather than continue using them.
Current accessories include the XMAX V3 Pro glass adapter and model-specific glass stems and bubblers in our accessory range.
Battery Doors and Battery Contacts
Removable-battery vaporizers rely on a secure battery door and clean contacts. If the lid no longer closes correctly or power cuts out when the device moves, inspect the battery door before blaming the electronics.
For the V3 Pro, we currently stock the replacement battery lid.
When to Replace a Battery
A removable battery is a consumable component. Replace it when runtime has fallen substantially, the wrap is damaged, it becomes unusually hot, or the device cuts out under load despite being charged.
Never use a swollen or physically damaged lithium-ion cell. See our vaporizer battery care guide.
Cleaning vs Replacement: A Simple Rule
| If the problem is... | Usually try... |
|---|---|
| Residue / restricted airflow | Clean first |
| Crack / tear / deformation | Replace |
| Loose seal | Inspect O-ring, then replace if worn |
| Screen still blocked after cleaning | Replace |
| Glass chipped or cracked | Replace immediately |
| Battery swollen or wrap damaged | Stop using and replace |
Build a Small Spare-Parts Kit
For a vaporizer you use regularly, a sensible kit can contain:
- 2–3 spare screens;
- O-rings or seals;
- one replacement mouthpiece or filter assembly;
- dosing capsules if compatible;
- a spare removable battery if the device supports one;
- cleaning brush and swabs.
Vaporizer Spare Parts FAQ
How often should I replace a vaporizer screen?
There is no fixed interval. Replace it when cleaning no longer restores airflow or the screen is physically damaged.
Can I keep using a cracked mouthpiece?
It is better to replace it. Cracks can worsen and may affect fit, airflow or safety.
Are vaporizer mouthpieces universal?
No. Mouthpieces, filters and seals are usually model-specific.
Should I buy spare parts when I buy the vaporizer?
For frequently used devices, keeping screens and other inexpensive wear parts on hand can prevent unnecessary downtime.
Can cleaning fix a worn battery?
No. Battery ageing is not a cleaning issue. Replace a removable cell when it is worn or damaged.
