Marshmallow leaf tea is a single-ingredient herbal infusion made from 100% dried marshmallow leaves. Enjoy it on its own or combine it with other herbs suitable for tea to create your own loose-leaf blend. Choose a 25 g, 50 g or 100 g bag.

How to prepare marshmallow leaf tea

1. Add 1–2 teaspoons of dried leaves to a cup or teapot.
2. Pour over one cup of hot water and leave to steep for 10–15 minutes.
3. Strain the leaves before drinking.

Start with the smaller amount if you prefer a lighter infusion, then adjust to taste. For blends, try the leaf on its own first and follow any preparation instructions supplied with the other tea ingredients.

Using marshmallow leaf as a smoking or vaping herb

Dried marshmallow leaf is also a popular nicotine-free herbal alternative to tobacco, valued for its soft, smooth smoke and gentle, almost sweet flavour. To smoke it, crumble the leaves finely, pick out any stalks, and roll it on its own or use it as a base in a blend with herbs such as mullein, mint or lavender; it burns evenly when slightly dried and packed loosely. In a dry-herb vaporiser, grind the leaf to a medium consistency and begin at a low setting of around 150–175 °C, raising the temperature gradually to taste. Because its flavour is mild, marshmallow leaf pairs well with stronger-tasting herbs and helps round out harsher blends. Start with a small amount to see how you respond, and bear in mind that inhaling any burning plant material carries risks: this product contains no nicotine, is not a smoking-cessation aid, and should be kept away from children, pets and anyone who is pregnant or has a respiratory condition.
